I'm a huge University of Kentucky basketball fan. At this time, they are not playing ball very well. I don't believe that one person is to blame as many Cat fans seem to point the finger at Tubby. Not all do, but many do. I think Tubby needs to make some changes, what those changes are is hard to say, to pinpoint. Could be the system, recruiting, staff,........ alot of possiblities. However, I do believe that many of the players on the UK squad are not very motivated or something. The lack of effort, desire, pride is very lacking. What ever happened to the Pride in wearing a jersey with Kentucky across the chest? Maybe all the players are wanting to make the big bucks in the Pros... well... wake up... not everyone can make the big bucks. Learn to accept that.
Then there is the matter with Morris, who clearly got poor advice from, my guess, is family. Don't get me wrong, he is the player, but to think you can go pro after 1 year of college.... HAHA... that is sooo funny. So looks as though the NCAA is giving him 2 years left at UK, he is ruled ineligible to play this season... unless something changes he won't be back this season. So of course, certain players on the team seem to think that Morris is the key...... well... is that their excuse for playing crappy, not getting it together.
Oh well..... it's going to be a long, dismal season if the Cats don't get it together.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It was a rather long break for me. I only had one day of classes and that was the Monday before Thanksgiving. The day after I tackled the holiday shopping along with every other American. I don't get up as early as the diehards. Though I did manage to get everyone finished in my family. I went to the outlet mall in Albertville and then finished in St. Cloud before heading up north again.
It started yesterday a misty like fog which made our sidewalk and patio icy. By this morning 11/28 it had melted, but was starting the rain/ice mixed. So it has done this all day today, about 30 mins ago, it has finnally changed over to snow. Now the snow is falling, the ground and roads are becoming a white mess. It certainly is begininng to look alot like Christmas... hehehe.
Speaking of Christmas. I came across a post at a message board that I visit often and some were bothered by people spelling Christmas as Xmas. I use both, and neither bothers me. The X comes from the Greek name for Christ which is Xriostis.... Hope I spelled that correctly. The Europeans began a shorthand by using the X.... basically, it all means the same. Why people let little things like that bother them I will never know. Isn't it the meanins of Christmas that is important?
Have a great week all. :)

I know. I'm terribly late posting anything here for awhile now. Anyways, I did it. I got the tattoo, on my foot of course. Wasn't near as painful as I thought it would be.
Would you believe it. I am totally lost for words today. I guess there just isn't much going on in life. Other than work and school. Days go by quick anymore. I mean, it is like 50 some days before Xmas. Where has this year went?

Well... after a night spent at my friend's house in Deer River. Supper at the bowling alley, lost some money at the casino, liquor store, on the way to the movie rental and got detoured and went to the tattoo shop. So after looking at the numerous tattoos, I have decided to take the plunge and get my tattoo. I have an appointment for Friday evening... but I may go in earlier than that. At this time, I'm not sure of what I'm going to get done. I have decided to have the image on the top area of my foot.... knowing this will probably be painful, but that is ok. I have asked my sister to design a few images for me, and I did a few at home. I got some good ideas while searching the internet.
So.... that is one of the latest news going on in my life. With that going on, I have been busy with school and work. I have really got to get these 2 classes done before the end of December. I don't have much to finish, but it's getting it finished.
Well.... later for now...

Here is a picture of Maggie... our new puppy. She will be 12 weeks this Sunday and will be taking her first trip to the vet on Monday for her rabbies shot. She is a Gordon Setter and will be a fine hunting dog and family pet. This picture was taken when she was 8 weeks of age. She was at the time we picked her out, bigger then her sisters... she took some of her daddy's traits. So we are looking at her getting possibly 50- 55 pounds like her father.

It has been a few days since I have last left any kind of messages about what the heck is all going on. Well, of course school has started and I have a 4 hour break to kill, so I'm going to write some.
Hubby and I got our Gordon Setter puppy this past weekend. I am really suffering from sleep deprevation.. not sure if I spelled that right or not, but anyways... Like I said, I'm not getting enough of sleep, I think it is catching up to me. But the weather is a little icky today, cloudy, damp, windy, all that good stuff. So maybe that is partly to blame. Having a puppy around really makes me not want to have any kids. Sleep time would be really lost in that case, up at all times of the night. Not fun if you ask me.
Well.... I'm going to end for now. Yea.. thought I would have more to say since it has been a while since I posted, but oh well... until next time.

Yep... I can't wait till Friday. No particular reason, just puts an end to the work week. School starts a week from tomorrow.
Anyways, I was reading some of the news back home in Kentucky, and there was news about this bus accident that happened in my home county. So as soon as I read that first line, my heart sorta skipped a beat because my mom drives bus for the school system there. But it turned out to not be my moms' bus route. No one was hurt too bad and there wasn't but like one kid on the bus along with the bus monitor and driver.
Well... nothing really going on in my boring life... HAHA. The weather is getting nicer... in the 70's today... very pleasant. However the signs of fall is making it's mark on some of the trees. Soon it will be spitting snow... and the wind will be hollowing, and I'll have to deal with the 20- 30 below windchill blowing off the frozen lake when I head to campus. Yes... BSU is located on lakeshore. There are very few campuses in this country that can boast that. If I wasn't soo afraid of driving my car on the frozen lake to park, I would probably do that, but.... parking places do open up for the brave souls that choose to park on the frozen landscape.
Until again.... take care.

It has been a very long time since I have been back to my blogger. So neglectful... I think I spelled that right. Anyways, in the meantime.. I have been busy with work and trying to get these 2 blasted classes finished before the end of December. I have about 5 months to complete... I'm getting there though. Hard to do much school work at all when it is summer.
Speaking of summer, that is almost over. Already August... heck.. halfway through August. Hubby built some shelves in the garage so we took down the Xmas decor from the rafters and I went through those yesterday evening and today. I forgot I had certian items... just like shopping ;)
School starts again in about a week. I'm only taking 2 classes this Fall, Biology I and Astronomy with addition to working on the other 3 days when I'm not in school. I still gotta pick up my books at some point... maybe this weekend.
Next month..... there is going to be a new addition to the family. Hubby and I are getting a puppy.. a Gordon Setter puppy. I have decided that I would like to participate in grouse hunting. I have been out walking with our hunters that come up from Kentucky before..... but I'm looking forward to having our own dog that we will be able to hunt with whenever we please. Of course she won't be ready to hunt until Fall 2006... which is fine with me. I can only manage to hit one clay piegon after every 50 or so thrown in the air.... haha.
Hobo Days is the Saturday before Labor Day in the "big town" of Boy River... estimate population of like 50 people........ Really.. I don't know why I bother going... it is nothing but an annual drinking party. From morning till closing, inside and outside the bar, there will be beer cans in hand and people stumbling all over themselves. However, the food is good, and there are the flea market vendors,..... opps almost forgot the parade, which lasts about 2 minutes... very short lived if I do say so myself... haha.
I really gots to go.. Laters
